It rests within a block of cedar and sits on a square metal base. A rotary on/off switch comes through the rosewood fingerboard. A double-curved lamp pipe comes up behind the guitar neck, and comes through the headstock. Six pearl dots fill the holes where the tuning machine posts were, and three more are on the fingerboard. The entire lamp was given a glossy lacquer finish – black for all, except the fingerboard, which was left natural. The lamp has a handmade cloth shade with a musical-themed print.
