Music

I have been making music since the late 1970s, mostly on mandolin and guitar. I play old-time, Cajun, Creole, swamp pop and Americana/bluegrass.

I am currently a member of $5 Short,  Gumbo Limbo Cajun Band, The Gadabouts, The Yazoo Kickstarts, Wild Bill’s Traveling Circus and the Rochelle Ramblers.

Some examples of my original music appear below – I hope you enjoy them!

$5 Short

$5 Short delivers a great mix of old and new tunes and songs. They draw from their collective experiences and a lot of years of playing Oldtime, Cajun, Country, Americana and other styles. From Oldtime standards to original songs and tunes, they do it all.

Marietta Massey (banjo, percussion, vocals), David Massey (guitar, fiddle, vocals), and Bill Paine (mandolin, guitar, percussion, vocals), love making music together, and they’d love to share their music with you.
